Cat. NO. : PR 003
Date : 1993
Country : Italy
Sound Quality : Good

Availability : Rare

Comments : For a picture disc, it has very good audio. Tracks are in wrong order, and some intro’s are cut-in-to. There is some fading done to make it sound like it one continues show. But it is not.

Title : Heavens Door
Format : 1 x 12 Inch
Label : Metal Biter
Cat. NO. : MB PD 14
Date : 1992 or 1993
Country : Germany
Sound Quality : Medium / Good (good to listen, but, as always with good filled picture disc, it will certainly not be the best audio)

Availability : Rare, only saw it 2 times.
Price : $15 – $40

Comments : The tracks mentioned on the disc are not very accurate. If you look at the image with the tracklist, and look at the actual songs, you will notice there are more tracks on the discs than listed. There are at least 2 tracks from the Paris 1992 show, but i think more.

Content : Various live recordings, some from Paris 1992-06-06.

Side A :

  1. It’s So Easy
  2. Live And Let Die
  3. Double Talkin’ Jive – into next track……..

Title : Interview Picture Disc Collection
Format : 4 x 7 inch
Label : Baktabak
Cat. NO. : BAKPAK 1011
Date : N/A
Country : UK
Sound Quality : Medium

Availability : Medium / Good
Price : $25 – $45

Comments : It normally comes with a sleeve to hold 4 discs, and, that can be hung on the wall. All back sides of the discs are the same, Axl sitting…..
The plastic the discs are in is transparent, the white is what i used to make the picture discs come out better. I took them out, and photographed them separately from the sleeve.

Content : Well, an interview, but since there are so many, i have no idea who, what or where from…..

Availability : Good
Price : $15 – $25

Comments : With or without the sleeve, they can both be found for low prices since they offer nothing more then an interview with the band, no music. If i have time, i might record it someday, and put it up for a listen.

This is based on Official released press material. It was send out to radio stations and magazines. The images are retouched, all the material is re-typed. The images are placed in random order, and appear larger then they are originally compared to the rest of the papers. Extra, to make a complete book (idea) is a photo of the inner sleeve of the album.
The last 5 pages are not re-typed. They contain information about the original artists.

Please not that the front and back images used here, were not originally used with this press-release. I just added them to have a more complete look the thing.

A big credit goes to Tim, who kindly let me use his images, and also made photographs of missing parts for me to use.

The complete book is available for download. Next to the “audio-icon” on the lower right side in the little menu bar there is a download-button.
The book is complete, as show here above, but has some minor watermarkings, so it won’t be easy to sell or distribute otherwise.

Please, no hotlinking to the files. If you feel the need to share them elsewhere, upload them to another server.

Comments : This is more of an EP, since there are only 4 tracks. With the Tag it is worth slightly more.

Title : Limited Edition Double Single
Second Titles : “Pink Lady”.
Format : 2 x 7 inch
Label : Pink Lady Records
Cat. NO. : N/A
Date : 1990
Country : USA
Sound Quality : Medium

Availability : Medium
Price : $10 – $35

Comments : The “Pink Lady Records” is only visible on the disc centers. But, is sometimes used as title for this bootleg. One side of the disc centers show an old cowboy on his horse, the other side shows the content. There is something weird here though. “The Steve Hollier Quartet” is mentioned, and the track names are spelled weird.

Content : Studio Demos/Rehearsals

Side A :

  1. Rocket Queen (Spaceship Rein)

Side B :

  1. Heartbreak Hotel (5 Star Hotel)

Side C :

  1. November Rain (Cats & Dogs)

Side B :

  1. Meat & Beer Jam (Ain’t Goin’ Down Instrumental) (“Meet The Bear”)
Same track / source as on the “Victory Or Death” bootleg.

Here is the Music Player. You need to installl flash player to show this cool thing!

The tracks here above are recorded by me, from the actual bootleg vinyl.
They are here to give a general idea of the sound that is on the discs.
The tracks were recorded in better quality, but were
converted to 64 kbps mp3′s to save space and loading times.
They are not available for download for obvious reasons.

Title : Limited Edition Double Pack
Second Titles : “Grease The Palm” or “Shotgun And The Two Lips”.
Format : 2 x 7 inch
Label : Grease The Palm
Cat. NO. : GPR 1/2
Date : 1989
Country : USA
Sound Quality : Medium

Availability : Medium
Price : $10 – $35

Comments : The “Grease The Palm” is written big on the back, and therefore the title is often mistaken. The disc centers mention “Shotgun And The Two Lips. Also an often mistaken title. The titles on the sleeve are correct, on the disc they are named fairly odd. See track list below.

Content : Studio Demos/Rehearsals

Side A : Studio ’87

  1. Jumpin’ Jack Flash (Jump And Flash!)
Same track / source as on the “Appetite For Demolition” bootleg.

Side D : Rehearsal

Format : 2 x 7 inch (in separate sleeves)
Label : Carl & Sucker Productions Inc / HERMANOS DE ANTRA
Cat. NO. : Hermetic HER 1200 and Hermetic HER 1201
Date : 1988
Country : Colombia
Sound Quality : Good

Availability : Rare
Price : $20 – $45 (can apply to each disc)

Title : Victory Or Death
Second Titles : Baked On Mess (actually the Label)
Format : 2 x 7 inch
Label : Baked On Mess
Cat. NO. : N/A
Date : 1988
Country : USA
Sound Quality : Good

Availability : Rare
Price : $20 – $45

Comments : There are 2 versions with the main title “Victory Or Death”. Only this one is also known as “Baked On Mess”, but that might actually be the label that released this bootleg.
The version with 2 sleeves is hard to find as a pair. The “Don’t Cry / Shadow Of Your Love” is, when for sale, most of the time listed as one item, when in fact it is a real part of the pair.
To find the Colombian version, two separate discs in separate sleeves in one sale, is really rare.

Title : Appetite For Demolition (pink,  blue, brown and gray version)
Second Titles : “Unreleased Studio Outtakes”.
Format : 2 x 7 inch
Label : Whooptalli!!
Cat. NO. : N/A
Date : N/A (most likely somewhere 1987 or 1988)
Country : N/A (most likely the UK)
Sound Quality : Medium

Availability : Rare
Price : $20 – $45

Comments : Tracks might appear in different order on the discs.
The disc-centers variate in color, but have no information.
The tracks are scratched in the discs but don’t always have
a “side-indication” (either side A or B).

The blue version here has mentioned on the back :
“SPECIAL JAPANESE EDITION 300 COPIES”.There is also a more
gray sleeve known. Those and the blue one and the brown version
(here above) are the most rare versions of this bootleg.
Also, other then the pink or yellow version, the blue version has large holes,
where the others have small holes.

The pink versions have variations in color. As seen here above,
the text-color may vary a bit. This is not caused by taking the
images with or without flash, they are really different.
They both claim to be limited to 500 copies, and have the item no.
either handwritten or “stamped” next to the “500″ note.

Country : N/A (most likely France)
Sound Quality : Medium

Availability : Rare
Price : $20 – $45

Comments : Tracks might appear in different order on the discs.
The disc-centers have a load of information. Calling this a promo,
not for sale and many other things. In fact, it is a bootleg.
The content is the same as the pink one, but just with another
sleeve, and disc centers. Most likely this is made little later as
the pink versions.

Title : Civil War
Format : 1 x 12 Inch
Label : Power Records
Cat. NO. : PR-006
Date : Most likely somewhere in 1992/1993
Country : Italy
Sound Quality : Medium / Good (pro-recording, but the quality of the disc is not that good)
For a better sound quality, best to get the “World Tour 1992” bootleg, that has the complete show.

Availability : Extremely rare (claimed to be less then 300 copies sold)
Price : $35 – $50

Comments : A very rare picture disc. There is one other called “Civil War“, with the same title, but with a different content.
It normally comes with a “Tag” with information about the record.
Funny fact, there is a “real” image of this artwork, that was sold as badges and buttons. However, the image on this disc is really drawn by someone, and the colors alter from the real deal.

Content : Most likely all tracks are from 06-06-1992, Paris, France. If you have more information, please contact me.

  1. It’s So Easy
  2. Always On The Run

But, there are other colors in vinyl, and those are sometimes numbered too, so, there are at least 200 yellow vinyls in blue sleeves, but there are more colors and sleeves.

Title : Amnesty International Interview Picture Discs
Format : 5 x 7 inch
Label : Orlake
Cat. NO. : BSAPC7
Date : 1988
Country : UK
Sound Quality : Interview

Availability : Extremely Rare, Some claim there were about 6 pressed of each disc, where other sources mention every copy is a one of!
Price : undetermined (though rare, there is no music on the discs)

Comments : Well over 10 years ago Amnesty International presseda highly limited edition set of commemorative 7″ picture discs to mark a conference being held at the time. The set of discs featured many famous music icons of the time including Guns N Roses. The full color picture disc does not contain any music but rather spoken extracts from the press conference of the Milton Keynes Bowl. This was a festival for the benefit of Amnesty International. The pressing was extremely limited (Some claim there were about 6 pressed of each disc, where other sources mention every copy is a one of!). The pictures on them were mainly taken from books or magazine articles and often with parts of the picture missing (such as a band member’s head!) or just part of the text from an article or book. There are different pressings with diff. matrix numbers. These images are placed in random order.
