Live Like A Suicide – Colored vinyl bootleg

Green transparent vinyl for sale

Title : Live Like A Suicide
Format : 1 x 12 inch colored vinyl
Label :  N/A (direct copy of the original)
Cat. NO. : N/A (direct copy of the original, not pressed matrix but hand scribbled)
Date : Between 2005 and 2013
Country : Sweden and Japan
Sound Quality : Good

Comments : Many popped up 2010 / 2011, and the following years they became more rare. These came in at least six colors, solid,  not as transparent as the Pink and Green ones here below, and they were sealed. The discs came in regular white inserts and the colors were indicated with a small sticker on the front (top left corner). The sleeves are very good, though a bit more shinny and the colors seem a bit more “red” as on the normal release.

The discs are thick and heavy, feel more solid as the others (here below). The labels are really dark and hard to read, bad copies of the originals.

When the disc is black, its hard to say from images only if its real or not.

Both sides play the same four tracks, just like the original black release from 1986. They play at 45 RPM instead of the original 33 RPM!

For a few images to compare the release up close, see the bottom of this page.

Title : Live Like A Suicide
Format : 1 x 12 inch Pink or Green transparent vinyl
Label :  N/A (direct copy of the original)
Cat. NO. : N/A (direct copy of the original, not pressed matrix but hand scribbled)
Date : Between 2005 and 2013
Country : Sweden or Ireland
Sound Quality : Good / Medium, most likely sourced from LIES cd.

Comments : Many popped up late 2008, and the following years they became more rare. In early 2013 a few dozen popped up again. The solid colors seem to be of better quality. There are less flaws on the discs, caused while pressing. Little dents and there is more surface noise as on the solid colored discs. They all looked brand new, not sealed and the sleeves needed some repairs (glue did not stick so it opened up). I have had 4 copies, from various sellers and they all shared this problem. They all have white paper inserts.

The sleeves are more matted as the original and the 2008 releases and have some more flaws. The colors are less bright and the black and white is not very sharp.

Both sides play the same four tracks, just like the original black release from 1986. They play at 45 RPM instead of the original 33 RPM!

Image 1 : Sleeves, front, more red, faded, lack or excess in color, not sharp!

Image 2 : Sleeves, back, harder to read, text is blurry, images are more black and white as the original.

The matrix numbers, even on the real one, is handwritten. Only thing missing on the bootleg, will be the word “sterling” stamped in the disc next to the label.
It can be there is the letter “A” stamped, embossed in the label with the content, the red label. I have never seen this with a bootleg.
